Anti-Jewish feelings are rising in several major European countries, according to a worldwide survey released on Wednesday.

The Washington-based Pew Research Center’s global attitude survey found that most Muslims in countries where they are in the majority worry about the rise of Islamic extremism at home and abroad. Majorities held that view in Indonesia, Pakistan, Tanzania, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan and Nigeria.

San Francisco will try to collect up to $15 million in taxes from the Archdiocese of San Francisco, which is refusing to pay certain taxes on properties the church is transferring from one Catholic nonprofit organization to another.

That tax bill would be the second largest of its kind in San Francisco history. But the archdiocese has appealed the charge, saying the church should be exempt from property transfer taxes for a variety of reasons - primarily because the properties are being moved among groups that all are a part of the same overarching organization: the Archdiocese of San Francisco.

Open Question: Getting into college without legal residency in the U.S. about to graduate high school this year…?
Hi, i was wondering, what are the chances of me getting into colleges with out legal residency, and i have a Type B1/ Class B2 immigration visa… i came here when i was 7 years old… and i have a 2.5 gpa.. because i didn’t know what this country provided me with until last year.. and i’ve turned my self around… since then i’ve have straight A’s in very tough classes and have become known as a future lawyer prospect, and like to help out my community. I already got accepted into a college… and i heard that i can’t get federal grants/scholarships.. so now im looking at private scholarships/grants. i was wondering, what would be my chances of actually graduating from college with a possible law degree or accounting degree? with a type B1/class B2 visa?well the thing is i already got accepted to a private school.. and it is actually around 23,000 for tuition alone, and i would most likely be a commuter since this college isn’t that far from my current house. And the thing is that i can’t get federal scholarships( college and state) so i’m currently looking at private grants/scholarships and there are many that give scholarships that do not ask for legal residence , and i qualify for a lot of them. But i am thinking of entering a county college first, and i was wondering , could i get an F-1 visa through a county college. And i actually impressed a whole bunch of college representatives, even though they actually know what my situation and grades are. And by the way how do you get an F-1 visa?and the thing is… when i tell the college recruiters that i regret what i did with the beginning of my high school career, and that i feel like i betrayed my mother who threw away everything that she had in her life in order to try to give us a better future, because she used to be a very well payed nurse in my home country, and that we had to run away from our alcoholic father who abused us. And that my old friends where just like me so i stayed with them, and now some of them dropped out, and/or graduated but have nothing else to do but work their butt’s off for minimum wage jobs, and finally decided to change paths, because i knew where that i was headed there as well .They understand where i’m coming from and they actually are some of the first people that i have ever met that wanted to give me a second chance as well, and wanted to help me, besides my mother.

Open Question: Tell me what you REALLY think of this guy? Does he have feelings for me?
We’ve been best friends for over a year & we are so close. He wants to come travelling with me when I go and even said he loves coming home to me rather than having a complicated relationship. (He has been alone for a couple of years). The confusing part is that he recently confided in me that he is gay. He said I am his perfect match…he has tried with girls & guys but finds relationships difficult so now he stays alone. Actually he has moved to share a place with me and we do everything together. He is always telling me that all his friends think I am beautiful & think we are a couple. He has just told me a story of a good friend of his who had a platonic friend for a few years & now they’ve realised they’re in love. Friends were over for dinner last night and he said in front of everyone that he needs a teddybear as his bed is too big. He also told them that I’m the best woman in the country (he’s foreign). Do you think he has feelings for me?
