Open Question: How do I keep these people off my land?
There is someone who owns the mineral rights on my acreage (and those of my neighboors). The people they have hired to do the testing are sneaky SOBs. At first they introduced themselves like normal citizens. However I have expressed my concern and desire to keep them off my land. Now they creap on through other sides of the property without my knowlage and I have to go out and hunt them down, which always ends up in some form of confrontation on their cell phone with their boss.

The way they behave irritates me to no end. Let me give you some quick background on things. I’ve lived in this house for nearly 10 years. The “Rights” they own expire next month and they wait ALL this time to get their lazy rear ends out to do anything???

They tear up my lovely underbrush and sometimes the main trees too just to get their equipment out there, they leave the survey crap laying around all over the place and of course drill holes into my earth and drop dynamite down which blows up and send pulse waves out that they measure. Which also tends to hit ANYTHING nearby, like my well and septic and pool.

I would like to stall these people and make enough trouble to keep them from destroying my property long enough for the stupid “rights” thinggy to expire.

What are some good ideas without getting into trouble with the law?

I live in Texas.

I have already “Officially” kicked them off before and was under the impression that they have to bring me a court order to make me let them out there. They have faild to produce a court order (and that’s why they are sneaking onto my land through the back way etc).
and of course you know how long its going to take to get paid back anything they own me due to damages.

Picasa Web Albums Kingfisher hunting for food A perfect dive at 100km/h, wings neatly folded back along his body to enhance his aerodynamics, this blue bird is a rocket. Making the most of a hole in a little frozen river in Land Hessen (Germany), the kingfisher, “Alcedo atthis”, homes in. The water is cold but very clear - it flows on a bed sown with pebbles. The prey is within reach of his beak. The bird, which measures 16cm, cannot carry large fish, so he skewers three little ones. He soars back up thanks to a fluttering of his wings and an Archimedean force. He can capture 80 small fish in a day. He knows the best spots as he doesn’t venture far from here, and his habitat is close by. He really is a “king fisher”, the king of fishermen. He knocks his prey out before swallowing it head first, and regurgitating the bones. In the absence of perches or sticklebacks, he completes the menu with vertebrate amphibians and crustaceans. The only thing causing problems for the kingfisher: humans, who pollute it
