Open Question: Ideas for land access.?
I have an idea. Farmers get millions of dollars every year in aid from the government for programs. The money for this comes from taxes. So I pay to help a farmer out that tells me there is no way I can step foot on his land. I think we should cut all govt assistance to farmers who are not willing to open their land to public hunting, what do you think?
To those of you that think I am some pissed off punk, I have a masters degree, and am very well educated and understand why a farmer gets money. Thanks anyway. I own land, but don’t recieve subsidies, and I have worked for various farmers for the last 10 yrs. I understand the few bad apples, but should we judge everybody by somebody else. Don’t us gun owners get upset when we are put in the same class as the terrorist and mass murderers because we own a firearm?

Old Indian Chief “Two Eagles” was asked by a white government official, “You have observed the white man for 90 years. You’ve seen his wars and his technological advances. You’ve seen his progress, and the damage he’s done.”
The Chief nodded in agreement. The official continued, “Considering all these events, in your opinion, where did the white man go wrong?”

The Chief stared at the government official for over a minute and then calmly replied.. “When white man find land, Indians running it, no taxes, no debt, plenty buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water. Women did all the work, Medicine Man free. Indian man spend all day hunting and fishing; all night having sex.”

Then the chief leaned back and smiled. “Only white man dumb enough to think he could improve system like that.

Open Question: Does anyone have land I can hunt on?
I’m looking for a long time investment of hunting property. I have two boys and just don’t have a good place to hunt. Im looking forward to teaching the values hunting offers but am afraid that I will miss out on it because of lack of property to hunt. Im also afraid to take them to public land. I am ethical and moral and feel I would make a good candidate for someone to allow to hunt their property. I would also be in aggreance to assist with land maintenance and posting. I will also ensure that wildlife and North Carolina laws are abide by. Thanks for your reply.
