Right after the drama of Field’s Cut, we crossed the Savannah River and were in Georgia at last. Onward to the Wilmington River and we arrived at the lovely Isle Of Hope Marina, a suburb of Savannah at 3:20 pm logging 60 miles. We love the town of Isle of Hope with its huge overhanging live oak trees dripping moss over the narrow riverfront road.
